1. Love the raisins in this. Reduced sugar to 2 tablespoons and used cinnamon instead of apple pie spice.

 2. FABULOUS!!! Absolute perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Used Recipe #38766 for the apple pie spice which was also wonderful. I cooked mine on high for about 2.5 hours and then put them in the fridge for the flavors to fully develop. . .then warmed up before serving. Will certainly make this again and have shared the recipe with friends.

 3. YUM, these were soo tasty for breakfast this morning! Loved the added raisins and apple pie spice.
I dont own a crock pot, so I made these in the microwave, which worked out nicely. I had organic apples, so I left the peel on them and also I left out the sugar.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing this keeper with us, bmcnichol!
Made and reviewed for PRMR October 2011.

 4. So yummy! I cooked them for our dessert tonight and topped with homemade light vanilla ice cream! :) I used recipe#38766 since I didn't have any apple pie spice in the cabinet and stevia about 1/4 tsp instead of splenda. What a yummy fall recipe or anytime of year!

 5. Delicious! I cut the recipe in half and used 2 granny smith apples. I used pumpkin spice because I didn't have apple pie spice and just use water for the apple juice and the flavor was absolutely wonderful. I cooked mine on low for 3 hours and the apple had a slight bite to it. I do think scattering some sliced or slivered almonds on top after cooking would be great. I served it with Weight Watchers Roasted Pork Tenderloin and Herb Roasted Cheddar Potatoes. Thanks for posting. :)

 2. Simple and lovely! Using 4 large Granny Smith apples, half of them peeled, half not, I subbed Craisins for the raisins and likewise SF cranberry juice. Anticipating tartness, I increased the Splenda by 2 T. They were tender after 2 hours so I turned off the crock pot. I suspect that after 6-8 hours, I would have had applesauce. ;-) Served as a side with pork chops, this recipe was wonderful! Thanks for sharing!

 3. This was very good. I baked butternut squash and filled the cavities with the hot apples. It was a great taste. I used sugar instead of Splenda, apple cidar and butter. Not WW but very good. Thanks for sharing.

I have two boys Eddie 18 and Brandon 10. I have been with my hubby for 16 years. I work full time outside the home and my boys keep me busy at home. Eddie is a singer and base guitar player in a band and Brandon races go karts. We also have a Collie/Beagle mix named Sugar.I love to cook and try out new recipes. My family likes it too but at times ask my to make just "normal" food, as I forget sometimes to make my own TNT recipes. I cook a lot with with my crock pot as it makes life a lot easier for me. I am always on the look out for new crock pot recipes.I'm not much of a baker as I don't like to measure things.I collect cookbooks and recipes in general. I usually start with a recipe and tweak to my families liking. My Rating System: 5 Stars = The whole family enjoyed the dish and it will be added to my TNT cookbook. Book #220911. These recipes will be made again and again.4 Stars = Recipe was good, but needed some modifications or it was good but not something we would want on a regular basis. Also goes into my TNT-4 star recipe cookbook. Book #2209123 Stars = It was edible, but won't be made again.2 Stars = Needs some kind of major adjustments.1 Stars = Inedible, didn't work, waste of ingredients.
