This hat was probably produced in the 50s or early 60s, but it could have been produced a little earlier. The style is equivalent to the style now referred to as the "Open Road Silverbelly". The hat was purchased at the famed Charles P. Shipley Saddlery & Mercentile Co. of Kansas City, Missouri. I'm unusure of the size. A brand new Silverbelly like this costs over $200! This is a neat piece of Western Americana that's at least 50 years old and probably older! There are some very light discolorations in areas, but these areas are barely visible. The interior is very clean as well. You can see how clean the band is and how bright the embossed lettering is.
