However, I believe that if your child is particularly bright and has already successfully assembled many LEGO sets and other brands of bricks, you can disregard this age restriction, as it is merely a suggestion from Jmbricklayer.

Please be cautious of choking hazards! If your child is under three years old, do not place these bricks near them. Because the bricks contain many small parts, it is not suitable for young children both in terms of mental development and safety.

Building Process

Let’s start with the first major section by finding the corresponding block packaging. 40001-1.1 to 40001-1.3 (3 bags).

Step 1-26 1-27 1-28 1-29

In this step, as shown in the picture, I seem to be missing a brick. However, I believe it doesn’t affect the overall construction, so I proceeded to assemble according to the instructions. If you encounter missing bricks like I did during assembly, you can contact our customer service email for a replacement.

Actually, there are many imperfect things in the world. As long as we can find the beauty within them, isn’t that enough? In other words, these imperfections highlight the uniqueness of my Ghost Ship. Just like the phases of the moon, with its waxing and waning, isn’t it?

Step 1-30

In this step, you can see from the picture that I am missing a lamp line, but I believe it does not affect the overall structure, so I proceeded to assemble it according to the instructions. If, like me, you find missing bricks during the assembly process, you can contact our customer service email for replacement.

Alright, the first major part of our Jmbricklayer Ghost Ship The Flying Dutchman 40001 is assembled, which took me approximately 4 hours. Not bad! I don’t think the process is too difficult as long as you follow the instructions step by step. I believe you can do it too!

Let’s start the second part! Let’s first find the corresponding brick packages. 40001-2.1 to 40001-2.3 (3 bags).

Step 2-46

Here, I’m still missing the lamp line accessory, which is a bit unfortunate! But don’t worry, at the end of this article, I’ll reach out to some friends who have already installed the lamp line accessory and request some pictures to show you the final lighting effect. I believe it will look very nice!

Step 2-57

There’s a particular spot here that’s quite unique, not mentioned in the manual. To help you better understand how to assemble it, I’ll explain it separately.

There are two chains here, and we need to find the parts shown in Figure 1. We’ll dismantle them and then assemble them into the shape shown in Figure 2. After that, we just need to install the corresponding bricks as per the manual’s instructions! Easy fix!

Step 2-77

Alright, we’ve finished our second major portion, and before we knew it, this project was already halfway done! The hull is now taking shape, presenting the main framework; it really feels like we’re building a real ship! This process truly gives a sense of accomplishment.

With the experience and foundation from completing the first major portion, I was able to significantly reduce the time spent on the second major part. It only took me three hours for the second part, despite a few bumps along the way, but overall, it went very smoothly. Let’s move on to the next third part!

Let’s start the third section! Let’s first locate the corresponding building block packaging. 40001-3.1 to 40001-2.4 (4 bags).

Below, I will follow the instructions in the installation manual, find the corresponding components in these four bags of blocks, and assemble them. If you have any questions during the assembly process, feel free to send us an email.

This step is what I consider to be relatively challenging.

First, pay attention to the position of the two black ropes in the middle, making sure they don’t push against the adjacent bricks. Otherwise, you’ll have to disassemble and reassemble them.

When attaching these four ropes, you’ll need some force. Be sure to be firm yet gentle, as exerting too much force could potentially damage the entire ship, undoing all your previous efforts! Nevertheless, I believe you will succeed!

Here, I’m still missing the lamp line components, but it’s okay, let’s continue!

3-98

This step is actually a very simple and common one, but it excites me greatly because what’s being installed here is the ship’s helm!

Everyone knows that the helm is a crucial part of the entire ship, controlling its direction of travel. It holds the future of this vessel.

After it’s installed here, something interesting happens. I initially thought the helm would just be fixed in place as a decoration, but when I went to touch it, to my surprise, the helm could actually turn! making this ship come alive.

Here, I’m still missing the accessories for the lamp line, but it’s okay, let’s continue!

Our third major step is complete. In this step, we’ve adorned the ship, adding features such as the helm, ladder, stairs, railings, chains, and much more above the ship, and we can see numerous weapons added around the ship’s perimeter.

This step truly adds a lot of color to the ship! Now that we’ve roughly outlined the main structure of the ship, let’s dive into the fourth major step right away. I’m eager to see this ship completed as soon as possible!

Let’s begin with the fourth major part! Let’s start by finding the corresponding package of building blocks. 40001-4.1 to 40001-4.3 (4 bags).

You can see here in the middle that one brick is missing two slots, so I can’t connect the two larger bricks together. It’s a pity. Anyway, I’ll put the assembled part on the ship first. Let’s continue with our project.

Cool! The framework for the first sail is already assembled. When assembling the framework here, pay attention to one thing: ensure that each brick has the correct orientation. If not, the framework for this sail won’t take shape. Let’s build the frameworks for the remaining sails!

Final

We did it! This moment is thrilling. With the sails and ropes in place, our ship assembly project has reached its culmination.

Before I delve into sharing some thoughts on its appearance, here are a few installation tips: the railing of the sails is adjustable in height. If you notice any wrinkles in the sails after installation, adjusting the railing’s height can help straighten them out.

The ropes provided in the packaging are intentionally longer for ease of tying knots. Once we’ve finished knotting and straightening the ropes, we can trim off the excess to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our vessel.

This pirate ship comes with 9 cool green LED beads. All you need to do is plug in the power source, and bam! The whole thing lights up with this awesome green glow, giving it this super unique and enchanting vibe. It’s like stepping into a whole mysterious world, you know? And get this: it’s not just the lights. Our ship’s side stickers even have this glow-in-the-dark thing going on! So, picture this: in the dark, it’s all lit up with these glowing stickers, blending perfectly with the ghostly lights of the ship. It’s seriously like something out of a movie, a total visual treat!
