Last week was a truly transformative experience. I was privileged to participate in PwC's Explore Program alongside 70+ first—and second-year students at their Boston office. The PwC Explore Program focuses on helping individuals find their purpose and better understand who they are and what drives them in their daily work. This immersive program allowed me to understand PwC's values and ignited a stronger passion for accounting. The opportunity to connect with fellow accounting students and professionals was invaluable, and I am genuinely grateful for the insights I gained.Andrew Thorne, a partner at PwC who spoke last week, emphasized the importance of assessment. He stressed the importance of a personal anecdote in memory retention and how our purpose and drive will stay with us wherever we go. Before the event, PwC had us take an assessment to determine our purpose. My purpose is “to help people elevate their game by creating remarkable environments and experiences.” This result resonated with me because I feel fulfilled seeing my work directly impact individuals. I firmly believe that addressing people's needs is the heart of productive, successful work. Through my academic and career journey, I aim to be a model for building genuine, trusting relationships to create a better society by impacting the lives of individual colleges and clients. Before I wrap up, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Brian Moccio. Brian's support, answers to my questions, and guidance have been instrumental in my journey. I also thank all the PwC professionals, staff, and students for their contributions to my enriching experience.#PwC #PwCExplore #PwCBoston #AccountingJourney
